Summary

As a Class 4 Driver, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy-duty vehicles, including dump trucks, trailers, and cargo transfer trucks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials and goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate Vehicles Safely: Drive Class 4 vehicles such as dump trucks, trailers, and cargo transfer trucks in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Load and Unload Materials: Safely load and unload materials or goods, ensuring they are securely fastened and transported without damage.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any issues or repairs needed to the Fleet Manager.
Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes for transportation while considering traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
Documentation: Accurately complete logs and reports related to vehicle operation, maintenance, and cargo details.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation and cargo handling.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during delivery or pickup of goods, representing the company in a professional manner.
Job Requirements

Valid Class 4 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in operating Class 4 vehicles or similar heavy equipment.
Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations related to heavy vehicle operation.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy objects.
Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance.
Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Time management skills to adhere to delivery schedules.
Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations during transit.
Attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and reports.
